How do you make a difference?
You can foster, adopt or even just volunteer! All three are fairly easy.
Fostering is completely paid for by us. We will provide food, crate, bowls, toys, a bed and anything else you may need. Each dog has come to us first so we know their temperament, their needs and so much more. We will not pull a dog directly from the shelter and place in your home. Any foster dog will come from our board members directly. This is to help us by not placing a dog with unknown risks in your home. This is for the safety of you and the dog.
Volunteering is FUN! When you volunteer you get to spend time with the dogs, get to know them, play with them, feed them but then you can go home and not worry about taking care of them daily! Volunteering is a huge benefit to you and to the dogs. They love to meet new people and have a fun time while you feel good because you help us out tremendously.
Adopting is much different. We are no-kill, which means, we get a crazy amount of calls from all over to help dogs in need who are often labeled aggressive, dangerous or have more issues that can be met with their families. Things do happen and it's sometimes out of their control to surrender. When you adopt, you help us save one of these very deserving dogs. You open a spot to help another very wonderful dog in need. We will tell you the honest truth about each and every dog so that you know exactly what to expect from them. We want to set everyone involved up for success.
At this time we are not doing out of state adoptions.
Please don't hesitate to ask more questions about our process.
